SwipSwap is a peer-to-peer marketplace platform that facilitates connections between users who wish to trade items. We provide the tools and infrastructure for users to communicate and arrange trades.

SwipSwap is NOT a party to any trade between users.

We do not:

• Verify the accuracy of item descriptions or photos
• Inspect, test, or authenticate items
• Handle or ship items
• Act as an escrow service or hold items
• Guarantee item condition, authenticity, or value
• Mediate disputes or force resolution

As a user of SwipSwap, you are solely responsible for:

• Due Diligence: Thoroughly inspecting items before completing a trade, asking questions, requesting additional photos or videos, and verifying authenticity if needed.
• Item Accuracy: Providing honest, accurate, and complete descriptions of your items, including all defects, damage, or issues.
• Communication: Communicating clearly with your trade partner about expectations, condition, shipping, and meetup arrangements.
• Safety: Following safety guidelines for in-person meetups (public places, bringing a friend, etc.) and protecting your personal information.
• Shipping: Properly packaging and shipping items if you choose shipping, obtaining tracking numbers, and purchasing insurance if desired.
• Legal Compliance: Ensuring your items are legal to own, sell, and ship in your jurisdiction and that you comply with all applicable laws.
• Dispute Resolution: Working directly with your trade partner to resolve any issues or disputes that arise.

SwipSwap is NOT liable for:

• Items that are not as described, damaged, defective, counterfeit, or stolen
• Items lost, damaged, or delayed during shipping
• Failed or incomplete trades
• Fraudulent users or scams
• Personal injury or property damage during in-person meetups
• Financial losses resulting from trades
• Disputes between users
• Any actions or omissions of other users
• Violation of laws or regulations by users

You agree to use SwipSwap at your own risk and hold SwipSwap harmless from any claims, damages, or losses arising from your trades.

While we are not liable for trades, we provide tools to help you trade safely:

• In-platform messaging to keep communication documented
• User reviews and ratings system
• Reporting and blocking features
• Safety tips and guidelines
• AI moderation for inappropriate content

Remember: If something feels wrong or too good to be true, trust your instincts and don't proceed with the trade.
